Commvault is seeking a Senior Engineer specializing in C++ and SQL to join their Bangalore or Pune offices. In this role, you will design, develop, and optimize high-performance backend services using modern C++, focusing on scalability, performance, concurrency, and efficiency. You will take ownership of designing and optimizing SQL queries and database schemas for large-scale workloads, driving technical design and end-to-end delivery of complex features. The role emphasizes leveraging AI-assisted and agentic coding tools to improve development productivity and code quality. You will mentor engineers through code reviews, design discussions, and technical guidance, contributing to a culture of technical excellence.
You bring 4+ years of backend software development experience with strong proficiency in C++ and SQL. You have a solid understanding of algorithms, data structures, multithreading, and system design, with hands-on experience in Linux development and performance optimization. You demonstrate strong ownership, problem-solving, communication, and mentoring skills. Security and SaaS experience are strongly preferred. A Bachelor's degree is required.
