Kivo Health is an AI-powered telehealth platform delivering lung therapy and rehabilitation to patients with chronic lung disease. The company provides a 9-week, insurance-billed program connecting patients with licensed therapists for guided exercise and live education. Operating across 9 states and partnering with major health systems including UCLA and Stanford, Kivo Health has demonstrated strong unit economics, saving payers an average of $8,000 per patient by reducing hospitalizations. The company recently closed a Series A funding round and is scaling to expand service across all 50 states. The founding team includes Vaughn (CTO), a serial YC founder with a successful exit to Trulia, and Victor (CEO), a Stanford-trained physician. The company has secured advisors from Y Combinator, Cricket, Virta, and the COPD Foundation. As a Senior Engineer, you will help build and scale the tech-enabled healthcare clinic platform. This is a full-stack role requiring expertise in Python, Django, TypeScript, React, and React Native. The ideal candidate has 6–12 years of software engineering experience and has fully integrated AI coding tools into their development workflow. You will work directly with founders in a fast-paced, results-driven startup environment. Key responsibilities include architecting and building full-stack features for the telehealth platform, collaborating with the clinical and product teams to deliver patient-facing and internal tools, and leveraging AI and modern development practices to accelerate feature delivery. You should be a software generalist comfortable working across backend services, mobile applications, and web interfaces. This is an in-office role based in Seattle, WA. The company is looking for candidates who are either located in Seattle or willing to relocate. The role offers Series A equity, comprehensive healthcare coverage, 401(k) matching, and unlimited PTO.
