GitLab is seeking a Senior Professional Services Engagement Manager focused on the Germany region to drive growth by structuring outcome-oriented services engagements that create partnership and shared success with customers. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Engagement Management, EMEA, you will work at the intersection of technical solutioning and customer requirements, translating complex DevSecOps and digital transformation initiatives into measurable, mission-critical outcomes.
You will build trusted advisor relationships with technical leaders, division chiefs, program managers, and Systems Integrators. Key responsibilities include conducting discovery sessions to understand current-state capabilities and desired business outcomes; designing outcome-oriented services proposals that align GitLab capabilities with customer success metrics; developing custom-scoped statements of work and staffing plans for complex implementations; and articulating GitLab's services value proposition and implementation methodologies in the context of customer requirements.
You will manage the full engagement lifecycle from initial discovery and pre-sales solutioning through scoping, SOW development, staffing alignment, and transition to delivery. This includes facilitating solutioning sessions, implementation roadmapping, enterprise strategy discussions, and executive-level requirements gathering. You will guide customers through commercial terms, procurement processes, and contracting structures while managing project and account-level escalations.
Additional responsibilities include positioning consulting, training, success tiers, and additional solutions proactively to ensure successful outcomes and long-term retention; driving measurable outcomes by accurately forecasting services bookings and tracking KPIs related to bookings, margin, and attachment to strategic opportunities; and influencing cross-functional teams by articulating GitLab's professional services value proposition and feeding customer insights back into sales, delivery, and practice management.
