ClickUp is hiring a Senior Engagement Manager to lead enterprise SaaS implementations and post-sale strategy for the company's largest strategic clients. You will be the single point of accountability for delivery outcomes across the full engagement lifecycle—from shaping scope in pre-sales through mobilization, go-live, stabilization, and handover to the account team.
In this role, you'll serve as the primary client contact and trusted advisor to executive sponsors, managing complex stakeholder environments across IT, PMO, business sponsors, and procurement functions. You'll own engagement governance including kickoffs, weekly working sessions, sponsor check-ins, and steering committees, while providing clear status reporting to clients and internal teams.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and coordinating multidisciplinary delivery teams (Paid TAMs, AI specialists, Product, Engineering, and client resources) while fostering accountability and high performance
- Translating customer business requirements into internal deliverables and milestones
- Managing engagement financials including hours burn, forecasting, utilization, and margin protection
- Proactively managing risks, issues, and dependencies through RAID logs and escalation protocols
- Guiding clients from manual workflows to AI-assisted and agent-driven operations, owning post-go-live adoption outcomes
- Identifying expansion opportunities through delivery execution and co-selling with Account Executives
- Establishing value baselines, tracking benefits through go-live, and producing value assessments for renewal and expansion
- Designing and running governance mechanisms to track delivery efficacy, timelines, value realization, and customer experience
- Owning change management communications, assessing readiness and resistance, and building sponsor and champion networks
- Contributing to building the Engagement Management practice by iterating on templates, playbooks, and AI workflows
You'll work on the frontier of AI-driven work management with ClickUp Brain and Super Agents as part of your delivery toolkit. Engagement Management is a new and fast-growing function at ClickUp, offering the opportunity to help define methodology, tooling, and AI workflows that become the standard.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 5+ years of software and/or services delivery experience, with at least 2 years as the accountable project, program, or engagement lead
- Proven track record taking enterprise SaaS deployments from kickoff through go-live and into adoption, ideally in work management, PSA, CRM, ITSM, or collaboration platforms
- Strong grasp of SaaS implementation fundamentals: workspace and data architecture, permissions and SSO, integrations, data migration, change management, and enablement (no coding required, but ability to challenge unrealistic technical scope)
- Comfort with Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery methodologies, with judgment about which approach clients actually need
- Commercial acumen: experience managing engagement budgets, Statements of Work, change requests, and margin; knowing when to push for expansion versus stabilization
- Executive presence: ability to run steering committees, deliver bad news early with recovery plans, and hold scope lines with C-level stakeholders
- Experience leading cross-functional and distributed teams you don't directly manage, across client, partner, and internal resources
- Strategic judgment to distinguish genuine product gaps from client process or training gaps
- Hands-on AI fluency: already using AI to work faster and able to credibly advise clients on where agents and automation fit
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to produce status reports people actually read
Nice to have: Experience in work management or SaaS software, professional services firms, agencies, or regulated industries; PMP Certification.
