Anduril Industries is seeking a Senior Energy Distribution & Management Engineer to own the power distribution and energy management systems for a maritime autonomous vehicle. Reporting to the Vehicle Systems Lead, you will design and implement the complete power architecture—from bus design and switching systems to management logic—that delivers power from storage to all consuming subsystems.
You will take ownership of power distribution bus architecture and design, including power switching, protection, and fault isolation circuits. Your responsibilities include managing the vehicle's energy budget and power allocation, defining power interfaces between energy storage and all consuming subsystems, and performing power system modeling and simulation. You will support EMI/EMC design and qualification efforts, interface with energy storage, regulation, and vehicle systems teams, and support prototype integration and testing activities.
This role requires leveraging both technical expertise and leadership skills to set objectives, build cross-functional teams, and drive initiatives to completion. You will travel up to 25% to test sites to support field validation and operational deployment.
Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, or equivalent, plus 5+ years of experience in power distribution, power electronics, or electrical system design. You must have experience with power bus architecture and protection design, familiarity with power budget management and load analysis, and the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret security clearance.
Preferred qualifications include experience with marine or vehicle power distribution systems, working knowledge of EMI/EMC design practices, experience with power system simulation tools, and background in defense or maritime robotics. This is a full-time position offering competitive salary, equity grants, and comprehensive benefits.
