Anduril Industries is a defense technology company transforming U.S. and allied military capabilities through advanced technology. The Imaging team develops state-of-the-art infrared imaging systems deployed to address critical security challenges. You will implement and deploy core real-time image processing software for infrared imaging systems, ensuring rapid fielding to embedded and SWAP-limited hardware while maintaining secure integration into complex defense ecosystems.
Key responsibilities include configuring Linux-based operating systems and developing terminal-based software; becoming an expert in Nix and NixOS to define and implement embedded systems; gaining deep understanding of infrared sensor systems and existing image processing pipelines; contributing to real-time, high-bandwidth processing pipelines in C++ and/or CUDA; defining and implementing test and simulation environments with software- and hardware-in-the-loop methodologies; supporting end-to-end system delivery from design through manufacturing, deployment, and sustainment; and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams on challenging problems in a fast-paced environment.
Required qualifications: 5+ years of professional C++ software development with GIT, JIRA, and CI/CD systems; experience developing low-latency, high-throughput software on Linux systems; firmware testing and debugging on hardware platforms; knowledge of software infrastructure fundamentals including networking, security, and distributed systems; ability to quickly learn new technologies and frameworks; strong technical communication and documentation skills; and eligibility to obtain and maintain an active U.S. security clearance.
Preferred qualifications include Linux kernel development experience, proficiency in multiple programming languages (C, Rust, Python), familiarity with graphics programming or image processing, and additional relevant technical expertise.
