Yubico, a publicly traded global leader in identity security and creator of the YubiKey hardware-backed passkey, is seeking a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to join their Silicon Valley team. You will be part of a team that brings innovative ideas from prototypes to production applications, focusing on building integrations between software platforms and YubiKey devices, as well as developing internal tools used during YubiKey manufacturing.
In this role, you will work collaboratively across Product Management, Hardware, and Production teams to design, develop, and refine software solutions. You'll experiment with prototypes, incorporate user feedback and industry standards, and have opportunities to deepen your expertise in embedded hardware platforms. The team uses modern development practices including GitHub for source control, Jira for task management, and Confluence for documentation.
You will primarily write software in C/C++, working with embedded systems and leveraging your deep understanding of system internals. Your responsibilities include designing compelling experiences using native and cross-platform technologies, collaborating across functions, and contributing to the evolution of hardware-software integration.
