ICEYE is seeking a Senior Electronics R&D Test Engineer to lead electrical assembly, integration, and test (AIT) campaigns for the company's next-generation optical spacecraft. You will qualify subsystems and full satellites, debug electronics and software issues, and design/build the Electronics Ground Support Equipment (EGSE) required for these testing campaigns. In this role, you will run subsystem qualification and functional testing at the spacecraft system level, perform root cause analysis on failures, and create AIT procedures for integration while transferring knowledge to production teams. A key responsibility is feeding testing and integration findings back to design engineering teams throughout the development lifecycle—from early concept through late prototyping—and driving design improvements based on test results. You will work closely with engineering teams responsible for spacecraft design and collaborate across the organization to support next-generation spacecraft integration. The role involves intense, demanding periods during test and integration campaigns, requiring strong pressure management and adaptability. Required qualifications include hands-on experience developing, integrating, testing, or producing complex electronics systems; strong debugging skills across both electronics and software; AIT experience spanning software and electronics; working knowledge of Python; and fluent English communication. Nice-to-have skills include environmental testing experience (thermal, vibration), design-for-manufacturing (DFM) and design-for-testability (DFT) in high-reliability environments, experience scaling test systems for production, and harness design expertise. ICEYE is the world leader in sovereign intelligence from space, operating the world's largest and most advanced SAR satellite constellation. The company serves defense, intelligence, environmental monitoring, insurance, and emergency management customers globally, with over 1,000 employees across Europe, North America, the Middle East, and Asia-Pacific.
