Anduril Industries is seeking a Senior Electrical Test Engineer to join the Tactical Recon & Strike team in Atlanta. This role focuses on designing and delivering comprehensive test systems for Anduril's electronic products, including aerial drones (ALTIUS, Ghost, Anvil, Bolt) and ground-based systems. You will lead hardware qualification test plan definition for new products and features, collaborating closely with firmware, software, and hardware design teams. Your responsibilities include determining optimal test strategies that balance product safety, reliability, and risk mitigation while meeting schedule constraints. You'll design and execute PCBA and electrical system component testing, perform hands-on testing and rework as necessary, and analyze test data to communicate results clearly to design engineers. A key focus is designing and implementing next-generation test automation hardware systems to enable fast, repeatable product testing. You will manage the full lifecycle of functional testers—from purchasing and build through integration and final commissioning. You'll develop test procedures and automation spanning component to system level, support board bring-up and bench validation, and provide design feedback on Design for Test (DFT) to improve quality and coverage. Additional responsibilities include supporting manufacturing test bring-up, yield optimization, and root cause analysis processes. This is a hands-on role requiring deep expertise in electrical test engineering, test automation, and cross-functional collaboration within a fast-moving defense technology environment. Required: Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering or equivalent; 8+ years hands-on electrical engineering experience designing functional test equipment; proficiency in scripting languages (Python, C#, MATLAB, PERL, SHELL); instrument control via VISA, SCPI, GPIB; knowledge of computer hardware communication protocols (USB, I2C, UART, Ethernet, SPI, PCIe, HDMI, CAN, serial); familiarity with measurement analysis (Gage R&R, Process Capability); understanding of product release cycles; source code control experience (GitHub preferred). Preferred: NI TestStand experience; hardware/software integration and test process knowledge; MS Office and Visio proficiency; schematic capture and PCBA layout experience (Altium Designer preferred); detail-oriented and collaborative mindset; self-motivated with ability to identify and fill gaps; exposure to SW automation tools (APIs, REST, Robot Framework).
