Salary: USD 110,000 - 150,000 / annual
Voyager Technologies is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to serve as Technical Authority for all electrical systems on Peregrine lunar landers. This is a hybrid role based in Pittsburgh, PA, reporting to the Electronic Systems Manager within Voyager Lunar Systems.
You will own end-to-end technical accountability for spacecraft electrical subsystems, including avionics, electrical power systems (EPS), RF communications, and harness design. Key responsibilities include developing and maintaining the technical solution for lunar lander electrical systems within project constraints, delegating technical authority to dotted-line engineers, and mentoring small engineering teams on complex product design.
You will identify and characterize technical risks, issues, and opportunities; define and defend verification and acceptance approaches; support configuration control and baseline integrity; review and approve supplier technical deliverables; and present technical status and defend assigned scope at formal program reviews.
Minimum qualifications: 5+ years of experience in spacecraft electrical systems (avionics, EPS, RF comms, harness) and a B.S. in Electrical or Computer Engineering or equivalent work experience.
Preferred qualifications include systems engineering experience controlling requirements and risks; experience developing spacecraft electrical systems for Class D unmanned spacecraft; power budgeting and system-level energy balance analysis; familiarity with solar photovoltaic and lithium-ion battery technology; RF communications system performance and link budgets; electronics and circuit analysis; Microsoft Project/JIRA; Range Safety and Ground Safety electronics compliance; NASA-STD 4001 and 4003; space environmental testing (TVAC, shock/vibe, EMI/EMC); and an M.S. in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
U.S. Person status required (U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, or protected individual) due to ITAR and EAR export control compliance.
