CesiumAstro is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join its Digital/Mixed-Signal Electronics team. The company develops advanced communication systems for satellites, UAVs, launch vehicles, and other space and airborne platforms.
In this role, you will own full-stack hardware development for complex modules and small systems, progressing from concept development through detailed design, analysis, layout, build, test, and delivery. You will perform hands-on work at each phase of the development cycle. At the senior level, you will also take on technical leadership responsibilities, guiding small teams of hardware engineers developing new products and systems.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading full-cycle hardware development for space and aerospace applications
- Conducting detailed electrical design and analysis for high-reliability systems
- Performing PCB layout and design optimization
- Building and testing prototypes and production units
- Presenting engineering design reviews to customers and executive leadership
- Mentoring junior hardware engineers
- Ensuring designs meet stringent space and airborne reliability standards
The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in electrical engineering with experience in space, aerospace, or high-reliability electronics. You should be comfortable working in a startup environment where your contributions directly impact business success. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential, as you will present technical materials to both internal and external stakeholders.
