Anduril Industries is a defense technology company transforming U.S. and allied military capabilities through advanced technology. The company develops mission-critical systems powered by Lattice OS, an AI-powered operating system that integrates thousands of data streams into real-time 3D command and control centers. Anduril brings cutting-edge autonomy, AI, computer vision, sensor fusion, and networking technology to military applications.
You will join the Air Dominance and Strike team as a Senior Electrical Engineer, focusing on full-lifecycle PCB design from concept through board bring-up, test, and debug. Your primary day-to-day work involves collecting requirements, schematic design, component selection, layout supervision or execution, and system integration. You will also support subsystem cable harnessing, hardware integration, and flight-test operations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Full-cycle PCB design (schematic, layout, bring-up, test, debug, system integration)
- Microcontroller and microprocessor bring-up and integration
- Power system design, including discrete power supplies, DC-DC converters, and power management systems
- Troubleshooting across electrical and software boundaries using lab equipment (oscilloscopes, DMM, logic/spectrum analyzers, electronic loads)
- Development of payloads and subsystems (sensors, payload interfaces, power management, networking)
- Creation of system interconnect diagrams and wire harness definitions
- Support for environmental qualification (vibration, thermal) and flight-test operations
- Cross-discipline collaboration with electrical, mechanical, software, firmware, and test engineers
- Peer-level and cross-discipline design reviews
This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced environment supporting new developments, active deployments, and mission-critical flight hardware.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent, with 5+ years of experience designing, testing, and troubleshooting complex system designs
- Active, hands-on PCB design experience within the last 5 years (schematic capture, layout execution/supervision, and physical board bring-up in the lab)
- Experience with modern ECAD/EDA design tools (Altium Designer preferred; open to Cadence Allegro/OrCAD, Mentor Graphics, etc.)
- Solid foundation in power system design, power loading analysis, and power management systems (DC-DC conversion, transient protection, power distribution)
- High competence using lab test equipment (benchtop power supplies, electronic loads, oscilloscopes, DMM, logic/spectrum analyzers) and basic board-level rework/soldering tools
- Hands-on experience with microcontrollers and digital interfaces (CAN, I2C, SPI, Ethernet, RS232/422, RS485, USB)
- Knowledge of modern analog and digital electronics, mixed-signal board design, grounding topologies, and filtering/EMI mitigation
- Understanding of low-voltage and high-voltage power electronics and control systems to drive cable harness designs and connector selections
- Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. security clearance
- Exceptional organization and communication skills (written and oral)
- Open to candidates from fast-paced, high-reliability adjacent industries (Electric Vehicles/Automotive, Medical Devices, Autonomous Systems, complex Consumer Electronics)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Specialized background in discrete power supply design (high-efficiency topologies, switching regulators, battery management systems)
- Background in defense, missile systems, hypersonics, or aerospace avionics
- Comprehensive understanding of temperature, shock, and vibration effects on electrical packaging and designs
- Ability to develop basic low-level firmware or test scripts (C, Python) for hardware bring-up and peripheral validation
