Veeam is seeking a Senior Domain Engineering Specialist to drive customer success and security outcomes across the Veeam Data Platform (VDP). This role bridges technical architecture and customer engagement, focusing on data resilience and security posture management. You will partner with Customer Success Engineers and Account Executives to engage Enterprise and Commercial-Named accounts (typically $100K+ ARR) on security-related products, architectures, and risk topics. Key responsibilities include running readiness checks and data modeling to validate solution designs, monitoring attack surfaces and vulnerabilities using the Veeam Data Resilience Maturity Model (DRMM), and tracking telemetry to identify health risks and expansion opportunities. You'll lead risk and opportunity discussions with CISO/CIO stakeholders, synthesizing inputs from account health reviews and quarterly business reviews. You'll validate designs to de-risk adoption, accelerate time to value, and support Account Executives on security and AI-driven expansion motions. Operating as a pooled resource, you'll typically support 6–8 CSEs with a 1:6-8 coverage ratio, though you won't be the primary owner for onboarding or renewals. Required qualifications include 5+ years in engineering architecture for cybersecurity products (Security Engineer/Architect, Cloud Solution Architect, or similar), a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, and relevant certifications (CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or equivalent). You must have expertise in data security and governance (DSPM/DLP), familiarity with AI/ML architectures, and hands-on experience with solution design, POCs, telemetry monitoring, and maturity modeling. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills are essential. VMCE certification can be completed after joining.
