X4 Pharmaceuticals, a commercial-stage biopharmaceutical company, is seeking a Senior Director of Supply Chain & Logistics to lead global clinical and commercial supply continuity and risk management. The role is responsible for owning and assessing supply chain plans, inventories, and ensuring uninterrupted product availability across all territories.
Key responsibilities include: driving cross-functional partnerships with Quality, Regulatory, Technical, and Clinical teams; collaborating with Clinical Operations to forecast drug supply needs and manage clinical site distribution; leading Integrated Business Process (IBP) initiatives to monitor demand and plan supply accordingly; planning and implementing clinical and commercial supply chain activities including customs clearance, warehousing, distribution, procurement, logistics, forecasting, and inventory control; ensuring commercial product inventory availability at minimum acceptable levels and cost; managing serialization across territories; partnering with Quality Assurance for global material acceptance and compliance; developing SOPs and processes for global supply chain management; overseeing packaging, labeling, shipping authorization, and cold chain distribution; managing relationships with multiple distribution partners; developing EAP/PTA strategies; and managing budgets, contracts, and invoices.
The ideal candidate brings a minimum of 12 years of clinical and/or commercial manufacturing, supply chain, and logistics experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with a Bachelor's degree in Pharmaceutics, Pharmacy, Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology Engineering, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or Biology. Required skills include experience with Third Party Logistics management, supply chain data analysis, ERP systems, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. National and international travel (approximately 20%) is required. The position is based in Boston, MA, with a flexible hybrid model requiring a minimum of 2 days per week in the office.
