GoodLeap is seeking a Senior Director of Software Engineering to lead the engineering organization's strategy, execution, and growth. As a Director-level leader, you will oversee multiple engineering teams building the company's core platform that powers financing and software solutions for sustainable home improvements—solar, batteries, HVAC, heat pumps, roofing, windows, and related products.
You will be responsible for:
- Setting technical vision and strategy across engineering teams
- Building, mentoring, and scaling high-performing engineering organizations
- Driving product delivery, code quality, and engineering excellence
- Collaborating with product, design, and business leadership to align engineering roadmaps with company goals
- Establishing engineering best practices, architecture standards, and development processes
- Managing hiring, retention, and professional development of engineering talent
- Overseeing platform reliability, security, and performance at scale
GoodLeap's platform serves over 1 million homeowners and thousands of professionals in the home efficiency and solar space. The company has facilitated over $30 billion in financing for sustainable solutions since 2018. You'll work on AI-powered applications and developer tools that drive transparent customer communication, business intelligence, and streamlined operations for contractors and installers.
The ideal candidate brings 10+ years of software engineering experience, with 5+ years in engineering leadership or management roles. You should have a track record of building and scaling engineering teams, shipping products, and driving technical excellence. Experience in fintech, marketplace platforms, or B2B SaaS is a plus. You're comfortable with ambiguity, passionate about sustainable solutions, and excited to lead engineering at a high-growth company.
