Daymark Health is a value-based oncology company transforming cancer care through a comprehensive platform combining dedicated care navigation, symptom-focused support, behavioral health, and social resources with evidence-based interventions and hybrid in-person/virtual care delivery.
As Senior Director of Payer Growth, you will report to the VP of Growth and lead the establishment of strategic payer partnerships to scale Daymark across new markets. You'll work at the intersection of strategy, execution, and relationship management, responsible for positioning Daymark as the preferred partner for payers transitioning to value-based care.
Key responsibilities include:
**Strategic Partnerships:** Analyze market trends and competitive landscape to identify growth opportunities. Identify and establish partnerships with national payers (insurance companies, Medicare, Medicaid), owning a portfolio of relationships and serving as primary point of contact. Map and engage key contacts at potential partners including network leaders and clinical experts, nurturing relationships through long sales cycles. Independently manage payer relationships from opportunity analysis through contracting. Develop compelling presentation and proposal materials tailored to specific plans and markets, collaborating with Finance on plan-specific economics. Partner with Provider Growth to leverage provider relationships in national payer sales. Own all RFP and RFI processes for national payers. Manage complex value-based care contracting and negotiation to ensure favorable long-term terms.
**Cross-Functional Leadership:** Support operational handoffs from sales through implementation, bridging Growth and Care Delivery. Build playbooks and resources for regional clinical and operational leaders. Provide insights to Product, Engineering, and Marketing teams on payer needs. Complete region-specific legal diligence with Clinical Operations on credentialing, licensing, and compliance requirements.
You bring 8+ years building and managing payer partnerships in healthcare with expertise in strategic partnership development, market analysis, and cross-functional collaboration. You have direct experience selling to national payers and developing value-based care deals across Medicare and Commercial plans, with nuanced understanding of contract structures. Strong analytical skills enable you to contribute to operational models and proformas, analyzing data to identify trends. You're travel-ready (up to 20%), comfortable with ambiguity, and have a bias toward action—iterating based on market feedback and moving deals forward quickly.
