Salary: USD 198,720 - 260,820 / annual
Oscar Health is seeking a Senior Director of Network Contracting to lead provider network strategy and complex contract negotiations. This role manages the market provider contracting team and collaborates with internal stakeholders to enhance network performance, manage costs, and ensure quality care delivery.
Key responsibilities include developing and implementing complex contracting strategies aligned with company objectives; leading and mentoring the provider contracting team; collaborating with the Network Monitoring & Performance team to identify gaps and expand provider relationships; leading negotiations with hospitals, physicians, and ancillary service providers; developing and executing contracting agreements that drive financial performance and cost control; ensuring timely resolution of provider issues; maintaining regulatory compliance; and building strong relationships with healthcare providers.
The role requires 12+ years of healthcare provider contracting or network development experience, 7+ years negotiating complex contracts with hospitals and physician groups, and 5+ years of leadership/managerial experience in healthcare. Strong understanding of healthcare delivery systems, reimbursement models, and managed care principles is a plus.
This position is based in the New York City office with a hybrid schedule requiring 3 days in-office per week, with Thursdays mandatory for team meetings. Base pay ranges from $198,720 to $260,820 annually, with eligibility for benefits, unlimited vacation, equity grants, and performance bonuses. Reports to the Vice President of Network Management.
