Salary: USD 207,550 - 296,500 / annual

Docker is seeking a Senior Director of Information Technology to lead and scale the IT department as the company rapidly grows. This is a strategic and hands-on leadership role reporting to the SVP of Central Operations & Systems. You will build a customer-obsessed IT organization that serves Docker's internal needs across help desk services, application management, device lifecycle logistics, and enterprise infrastructure. Key responsibilities include: - Developing and executing a multi-year IT strategy and roadmap aligned with company growth, anticipating scaling needs and managing technical debt - Building a metrics-driven, business-focused IT team with clear KPIs and service level agreements that align with Docker's strategic goals - Assessing and architecting the applications footprint to ensure connected enterprise systems, trusted information flow, and proactive decision-making - Establishing operational transparency through real-time metrics and workflows that measure service health - Collaborating with executive leadership and technical leaders to understand business needs and deliver efficient IT services - Managing IT productivity tools, workstations, and accessories with best-in-class service levels - Driving optimization, innovation, and best technical practices across the organization - Contributing as a thought leader within the Central Operations & Systems leadership team The Central Operations & Systems team owns internal platforms and systems that define the employee experience at Docker, from endpoints and infrastructure to SaaS vendors and custom tooling. Required qualifications: 12+ years of global IT leadership experience in fast-moving technology startups; ability to conceptualize long-term goals and convert strategy into tactical execution; AI-and-automation-first mentality; excellent communication and interpersonal skills; Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, engineering, or related field (Master's preferred). Docker is a remote-first company with offices in Seattle and Paris. The role offers flexibility, generous PTO, and equity compensation.
