Orca Bio is a commercial-stage biotechnology company developing next-generation cell therapies for blood cancer patients, with a focus on improving survival rates and reducing risks associated with traditional stem cell transplants. The company has launched TREGZI, a purified, high-precision cell therapy product.
The Senior Director, Field Market Access will report to the Head of Market Access and lead a high-performing team of U.S. Payer Account Directors. This is a strategic leadership role responsible for expanding patient access, removing reimbursement barriers, and supporting TREGZI's revenue and profitability goals.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the U.S. Payer Account Director team with clear priorities, performance expectations, and engagement strategies
- Integrating market access insights into brand strategy, commercialization plans, and lifecycle management
- Evaluating healthcare market trends affecting product access, reimbursement, pricing, and contracting
- Directing pricing and access strategies for TREGZI and future indications, including reimbursement analysis and contracting strategies
- Developing pre- and post-launch market engagement strategies that communicate value proposition and support patient access
- Leading market access analytics and evaluating team performance against KPIs
- Partnering with Medical Affairs to anticipate payer evidence requirements and develop evidence strategies
- Recruiting, developing, and retaining high-performing team members while fostering a results-driven, collaborative culture
- Managing operating budgets consistent with corporate financial objectives
- Ensuring compliance with corporate policies and U.S. healthcare laws and regulations
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA or other advanced degree preferred
- 10+ years of relevant market access experience, including experience leading high-performing payer or field market access teams
- Comprehensive knowledge of the U.S. healthcare system, payer landscape, reimbursement environment, and access challenges/opportunities
- Deep functional expertise in market access, pricing and contracting, lifecycle management, and integration of patient access and support services
- Strong financial and analytical capabilities
- Demonstrated success developing scalable, customer-focused market access strategies
- Strong understanding of commercialization process, reimbursement integration points, and clinical development
- Commercial experience across marketing, sales, product launches, pricing, or contracting
- Prior cell therapy or stem cell transplant experience preferred
- Ability to travel as required
