goop is a lifestyle platform spanning beauty, fashion, media, and wellness, founded by Gwyneth Paltrow in 2008. The company has evolved from a weekly newsletter into a multi-channel business including award-winning product lines, editorial content, podcasts, TV shows, live events, and retail stores. The Senior Director, Corporate Business Development is a hands-on strategic role reporting to goop's Co-CEOs. This person serves as the day-to-day point of contact on the company's most important corporate matters, leases, licensing deals, and large strategic partnerships. The role combines deal sourcing, structuring, negotiation, and execution across the goop ecosystem (goop, Goop Beauty, GWYN, and related ventures). Key responsibilities include: • Sourcing and structuring partnerships aligned with revenue and growth objectives—brand collaborations, licensing, content distribution, co-branded commerce, and financing structures. • Drafting and negotiating deals end-to-end, from initial terms through definitive agreements, including sophisticated commercial and investment structures (royalties, profit waterfalls, earn-outs, equity, joint ventures). • Building financial models, valuations, scenario analyses, cap tables, and waterfall models to inform executive and board decisions. • Distilling complex deals into clear, sharp analysis and tight narratives for decision-makers. • Evaluating new business channels and strategic acquisition, investment, and joint venture opportunities in wellness, beauty, and lifestyle. • Running due diligence on active deals, coordinating Finance, internal Legal, and outside counsel on strategic fit, financial impact, and risk. • Serving as connective tissue between business, Finance, and Legal—driving term sheet redlines, documentation, and closing checklists to signature. The ideal candidate is a seasoned dealmaker with an MBA mindset and background in corporate affairs, business affairs, corporate development, or investment banking. You operate with high ownership, high urgency, and a builder's mentality. You're fluent in finance and legal, comfortable with ambiguity, and energized by a startup environment. You have high EQ, strong instincts, and genuine passion for wellness and beauty. This is a high-autonomy role with a clear path to VP as scope and trust grow.
