CesiumAstro is seeking a Senior Digital Production Test Engineer to join its manufacturing and operations team in Austin, TX. The company develops advanced communication systems for satellites, UAVs, launch vehicles, and other space and airborne platforms.
In this role, you will provide engineering support and hands-on problem-solving in a dynamic, high-paced production environment. Your primary focus will be ensuring product performance, yield optimization, and reliability through direct collaboration with manufacturing operations. Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting root cause analysis for production issues and design defects
- Facilitating design-to-production transitions and process improvements
- Troubleshooting complex technical problems in circuit design and digital systems
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams (design, manufacturing, quality) to resolve issues and optimize manufacturing processes
- Conducting testing and validation to ensure product reliability and performance standards
- Documenting findings and implementing corrective actions
You should have strong expertise in circuit theory, digital electronics, and test methodologies. The ideal candidate is passionate about discovering root causes, thrives in startup environments, and enjoys hands-on, autonomous work. Experience with satellite or aerospace systems is a plus.
