Salary: USD 160,000 - 250,000 / annual
Ellipsis Health is seeking a Senior DevSecOps Engineer to build and operate production infrastructure for AI/ML-powered healthcare solutions. The company uses conversational AI and voice biomarker technology to address healthcare staffing and administrative challenges.
You will partner with Engineering and Data teams to design, build, and maintain highly reliable, scalable, and cost-effective production environments across development, QA, and production. Key responsibilities include:
- Building and updating Kubernetes clusters with modern container orchestration practices
- Designing and automating release management, CI/CD pipelines, and GitOps workflows
- Integrating security scanning (SCA/SAST/DAST via Snyk) into CI/CD pipelines with automated security workflows
- Implementing comprehensive service monitoring using Datadog, OpenTelemetry, and Prometheus
- Automating access control, audit logging, and compliance-related infrastructure
- Developing and maintaining backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity strategies
- Maintaining 99.9%+ availability SLAs
- Modeling and optimizing infrastructure costs
Required qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science or equivalent; 7+ years of industry experience; expert-level proficiency with Google Cloud, AWS, Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, IAM, networking, and security configurations; solid DevOps experience preferably with GitLab and GCP; Infrastructure-as-Code expertise with Terraform/Atlantis; programming skills in Python, shell scripting, TypeScript, Node, Go, or similar; familiarity with standard DevOps tools (Argo, Git, Jira, Confluence, OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Datadog, PagerDuty, New Relic).
Nice-to-have: Knowledge of FHIR, HL7, HIPAA, SOC-2, or HITRUST compliance; experience with speech-to-text and text-to-speech pipelines in LLM contexts.
