Brave is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join a team of 8 senior engineers (each with 15-20+ years of experience) focused on reducing toil and building automation and processes to support 200+ million users. The role centers on browser CI/CD infrastructure and AWS-based systems. You'll work on hundreds of daily builds across 1000+ GitHub repositories (many open source) spanning multiple languages: C++, Rust, Go, Python, JavaScript, Ruby, Kotlin, Bash/Shell, and HCL. The team ships rapidly across desktop and mobile platforms, architectures, and distribution channels, using multiple CI systems and optimization techniques. Key responsibilities include: - Designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for multi-platform browser builds - Building automation and tooling to accelerate build processes - Managing AWS infrastructure and Terraform-based infrastructure-as-code - Supporting build and release engineering, testing, code signing, app store distribution, and packaging - Leading best practices, proof-of-concepts, and code initiatives - Collaborating with other teams on end-to-end projects Required experience: 10+ years in DevOps/infrastructure, AWS and Terraform, CI automation (ideally for mobile/desktop), build and release engineering, multi-OS expertise (Android, iOS, Linux, macOS, Windows), scripting (Bash, Python, Kotlin, Groovy), and privacy/security mindset. Nice-to-haves include TeamCity (Kotlin DSL), Jenkins, Chromium/browser knowledge, build system tools (gn, ninja, siso, reclient, EngFlow), Gerrit, automated testing at scale, performance testing, and security scanning (SAST/DAST).
