Valence is an AI-native coaching platform for enterprise leadership development, serving Fortune 500 clients including Coca-Cola, Delta, Nestlé, and others. The company is pioneering AI-first approaches to organizational learning and development using advanced machine learning and natural language processing. As Senior DevOps Engineer, you will own the entire AWS infrastructure platform supporting Valence's LLM-powered coaching product. You'll architect and manage cloud infrastructure serving three distinct teams: two application teams and the AI/ML team. This is a high-impact individual contributor role with direct influence on company-defining infrastructure decisions. Key responsibilities include: architecting and optimizing AWS infrastructure; designing scalable infrastructure platforms enabling seamless multi-team deployments; leading security infrastructure initiatives (SIEM, EDR, automated scanning, backup systems); managing infrastructure costs while ensuring high availability; developing and maintaining Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and Ansible; creating autoscaling solutions for webinar and ML/data processing workloads; establishing network architecture and security protocols; building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines; collaborating with the AI team on data processing and ML pipeline infrastructure; and proactively identifying and implementing infrastructure improvements. Required qualifications: 7+ years DevOps experience, preferably scaling B2B SaaS; proven track record building infrastructure platforms supporting multiple development teams; strong AWS expertise; advanced Terraform knowledge; proficiency in network management (firewalls, routing, security); strong coding in Python and Shell/Bash; experience with enterprise security processes and F500 procurement; background implementing SIEM, EDR, XDR systems; strong problem-solving and proactive ownership mindset.
