True Anomaly is building autonomous spacecraft, advanced payloads, mission software, and space-based interceptors to secure the space environment for the U.S. and its allies. We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to own the infrastructure and deployment systems that enable our complex spacecraft modeling, simulation, and ground control software.
You will establish and mature continuous integration/deployment pipelines using modern tools like GitHub Actions, manage Kubernetes clusters (primarily AKS) for optimal performance and cost efficiency, and design cloud-based solutions on Azure while maintaining security and compliance standards. You'll use Terraform for infrastructure-as-code, implement monitoring and logging solutions (Prometheus, Grafana, Loki), and work closely with security teams to proactively fortify our infrastructure. Your responsibilities include deploying applications to challenging environments, troubleshooting performance issues, building production-grade Docker images, and assisting development teams with best practices.
This is a greenfield opportunity with significant ownership. You'll directly impact mission success and the company's future while working with a world-class team. No prior aerospace or space systems experience required—we value strong DevOps fundamentals, cloud architecture expertise, and the ability to solve complex infrastructure problems in a mission-critical context.
Required: 6+ years of DevOps and cloud experience, bachelor's degree or equivalent, strong Linux, Kubernetes (AKS/Helm), Terraform, CI/CD pipeline, and monitoring tool expertise. Production experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP required; cloud certification preferred. Preferred: GovCloud experience (especially Azure GovCloud) and space/defense industry background.
