MNTN is a Connected TV advertising platform that simplifies running TV ads through self-serve technology. The DevOps team is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to design, provision, and manage infrastructure primarily on Google Cloud Platform (GKE) and Kubernetes.
In this role, you will:
- Design and manage infrastructure on GCP/GKE and other cloud environments, working directly with engineering teams on cloud-based solutions
- Build platform capabilities and internal developer portal (IDP) components that reduce friction and standardize production service operations
- Design and implement automations and infrastructure tooling using GitOps principles, integrating with APIs, cloud SDKs, and Kubernetes
- Create and manage CI/CD pipelines (ArgoCD, Argo Rollouts, Argo Workflows, GitHub Actions) for safe, observable, repeatable deployments
- Partner with engineering teams to define scalable infrastructure patterns, reusable modules, and cost-efficient solutions
- Monitor infrastructure spend and contribute to FinOps practices for cloud efficiency
- Improve observability, alerting, SLOs, and runbooks to strengthen reliability and incident response
- Implement cloud security and compliance best practices including IAM design, workload identity, secrets management, and container security
Success means ensuring the Kubernetes platform runs predictably and resiliently in production with fewer incidents and faster recovery, delivering meaningful improvements to developer experience through automation and self-service capabilities, and continuously enhancing platform standards, automation, and cost governance.
You bring 5+ years in DevOps, SRE, or Platform Engineering with strong production experience in GCP and Kubernetes (GKE). You are proficient with Python and Typescript scripting, have deep expertise in Terraform/OpenTofu and infrastructure-as-code, and proven experience operating Kubernetes in production (Helm, ArgoCD, operators, Kustomize, networking, autoscaling, RBAC). You understand cost modeling and cloud cost optimization, are familiar with microservices architectures, and have a platform mindset focused on improving developer velocity and system reliability. Strong communication and documentation skills are essential.
