GoFundMe is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for its Developer Experience (DevEx) team in Buenos Aires. The DevEx team builds the internal platform that enables GoFundMe's engineering organization to ship code quickly, safely, and reliably—owning ephemeral development environments, CI/CD pipelines, the internal developer portal, and infrastructure-as-code tooling. In this role, you will own and evolve multiple critical systems: Kubernetes-based ephemeral and local development environments (using DevSpace, vCluster) that provide production-like conditions on demand; GitHub Actions CI/CD pipelines including shared workflows, self-hosted runners, and build performance optimization; and the Internal Developer Portal with golden paths for service scaffolding, ownership catalogs, and self-service infrastructure. You'll define and track DevEx metrics (build/test times, environment reliability, lead time to production, change failure rate) to guide prioritization, and integrate AI-assisted development practices (agentic workflows, AI-assisted review and test generation) securely across the engineering organization. You'll partner closely with Security and Compliance to encode SOC 2 and PCI controls into pipelines and repository governance, work directly with product engineering teams to identify and resolve friction points, and mentor engineers through code review, pairing, and documentation. This is a hands-on role where you write production-quality code, treat internal tooling as a real product with users and adoption curves, and help hundreds of engineers ship without becoming infrastructure experts. Required: 5+ years of professional software engineering with meaningful time in developer experience, platform engineering, or engineering productivity. Strong hands-on coding skills in Go, Python, TypeScript/Node, or similar. Deep, practical Kubernetes experience including debugging and abstraction. Proven track record building and operating CI/CD systems at scale. Fluency with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform preferred) and AWS. Product mindset toward internal tooling with focus on adoption, user communication, and documentation. Strong communication and influence across distributed teams, with fluent English. Preferred: Strong observability practices (logs, metrics, traces); experience with internal developer portals (Cortex, Backstage, Port); ephemeral/preview environment experience; event-driven infrastructure locally and in CI; demonstrated use of AI development tooling in production workflows; secrets management and platform security expertise (Vault, OIDC, supply-chain controls); compliance automation experience.
