LottieFiles is hiring a Senior Developer Marketer to own how developers discover, try, and ship with LottieFiles' developer products. This is an individual contributor role (not a brand or campaign position) that bridges Growth/Marketing and Engineering.
You will own the complete developer story across LottieFiles' product surfaces: AI-assisted motion for builders, agent workflows (including MCP-style tooling), APIs/SDKs, and open-source projects. Your mission is to ensure developers can go from "I need motion in my app" to working code without needing to contact the company.
Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Own positioning, documentation, quickstarts, and code samples across the developer stack, including AI generation surfaces and agent integrations
- Ship and maintain the first-run developer experience to ensure clear "first success" moments without support friction
- Grow open-source and developer presence through READMEs, examples, launch posts, and listings on GitHub, package registries, and developer directories
- Publish in spaces where developers and agent builders already work: documentation sites, package pages, registries, MCP registries, GitHub, and technical communities
- Partner with engineering on API design, documentation accuracy, and developer experience; file bugs and fix documentation yourself when needed
- Instrument and report on developer activation metrics (docs usage, first success, OSS adoption) against company goals
- Champion internal adoption by ensuring LottieFiles engineers use and ship with the company's own developer tools
You will sit within the Growth/Marketing team but act as the day-to-day bridge to Engineering, helping shape strategy, positioning, and messaging before turning those into shipped outputs.
Requirements:
- 5+ years in developer marketing, developer experience, or product marketing for a developer tool, API, SDK, or open-source project, with a portfolio of shipped work
- Ability to write code well enough to build samples, read pull requests, and fix broken quickstarts without waiting on engineering
- Strong written English skills for documentation, READMEs, launch posts, and technical community writing
- Experience launching or growing an open-source project or developer platform (GitHub, npm, docs sites, community)
- Comfortable working with engineers as a peer; able to push back on developer experience issues without management escalation
- Remote-friendly with preferred overlap during Asia/Europe working hours
Bonus qualifications:
- Background in design systems, motion/animation, web graphics, or AI-assisted developer tooling
- Experience with AI developer tools, agent ecosystems, or Model Context Protocol (MCP)
- Track record of developer launches that gained traction on Hacker News, Reddit, or similar developer channels
- Focus on measuring activation metrics rather than vanity traffic
