Okta is seeking a Senior Design Operations Program Manager to lead the operationalization and enablement of internal AI agents, plug-ins, and automated workflows across the Design team. This is a tactical, execution-focused role bridging AI tooling capabilities with practical design operations execution. You will partner closely with design, product management, and design systems teams to govern, evaluate, deploy, and scale AI-driven design capabilities across a 60+ person design organization, making the team dramatically faster, more consistent, and highly innovative. Key Responsibilities: AI & Agentic Design Enablement: Serve as the operational connective tissue driving AI adoption and workflow integration across Product Design, UX Research, and Content Design. Manage intake, evaluation, and approval processes for design plug-ins, Model Context Protocol (MCP) integrations, and generative AI tools (e.g., custom content design assistants, design-to-code agents). Partner with internal engineering teams to operationalize and drive adoption of internally built AI tools and agentic workflows. Foster a culture of experimentation, establish AI governance guidelines and evaluation standards, and codify best practices for prompt library design and design quality safety. Design Systems & Operational Change Management: Lead change management strategy for Okta's design system (Odyssey), operationalizing how roadmaps, releases, component updates, and usage guidelines are communicated and adopted across Design and Engineering. Operationalize design-specific accessibility programs, including audits, localized guidelines, and continuous accessibility checks integrated into design workflows. Program Enablement & Culture: Design and execute hands-on enablement workshops, brown bags, Figma/AI deep dives, and hackathons to build AI capability across design and content teams. Create standardized operational templates, workflow documentation, and centralized resources. Measure adoption rates, effectiveness, time savings, and business impact of deployed AI agents and tools; leverage feedback loops to continuously refine processes. Requirements: - 4+ years of experience in Design Operations, Creative Operations, or Program Management within complex software/SaaS design organizations - Strong hands-on experience using AI design tools, generative AI capabilities, LLMs, Model Context Protocols (MCPs), custom Figma plug-ins, and agentic workflows - Proven track record of rolling out complex operational initiatives, design systems, or accessibility standards across cross-functional teams with high adoption and minimal friction - Clear understanding of how UX Designers, Content Designers, UX Researchers, and Design Systems Engineers collaborate across the product development lifecycle - Proactive, self-directed problem solver who thrives on organizing ambiguity, creating scalable documentation, and executing to completion - Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with ability to translate complex technical concepts into intuitive guidelines for design teams - Deep familiarity with Figma, FigJam, Jira, Confluence, and emerging AI design tooling ecosystems (e.g., Cursor, Claude Code, OpenAI/Anthropic workflows, custom MCPs) - Must attend in-person orientation in Toronto on the first Tuesday of employment
