Salary: USD 100,000 - 175,000 / annual

You will serve as the Senior Deployment Project Manager for non-parking launches within Metropolis's Recognition portfolio. This is a high-impact technical leadership role where you own the end-to-end deployment lifecycle—from initial planning through go-live handoff—for complex, mission-critical recognition solutions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and maintaining detailed project plans, milestones, resource requirements, scheduling, and risk registers for each recognition deployment
- Serving as the technical anchor for the project lifecycle, defining system specifications and ensuring architectural integrity from kickoff through go-live
- Defining clear scopes of work for third-party integrators, managing timelines and budgets, and conducting site audits to enforce quality standards
- Acting as the primary point of accountability and contact for customers, managing expectations and providing clear context for technical decisions
- Collaborating with the Support organization to coordinate technical execution and ensure structured handoff of fully deployed environments
- Proactively identifying problematic trends in deployment processes and proposing solutions to reduce administrative overhead
- Setting quality gating criteria for project milestones and ensuring system functionality matches agreed-upon scope
- Supporting regional business development activity and addressing coverage gaps
Metropolis's tech stack includes TypeScript, React, Scala, Java, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Snowflake, AWS, Git/GitHub, Datadog, and GitHub Copilot. The company works extensively with enterprise IP video systems (Axis, Avigilon, Genetec) and software-centric computer vision solutions.
Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience in technical project management, specifically leading complex infrastructure or security-related deployments
- Demonstrated experience with large-scale field deployments and operational support for distributed hardware
- Familiarity with enterprise IP video cameras and systems (Axis, Avigilon, Genetec)
- Advanced skills in risk mitigation, stakeholder management, budgeting, and sophisticated communication strategies
- Proven ability to resolve issues creatively and work with high autonomy
- Comfort with AI tooling
- Ability to translate complex customer requirements into scalable technical designs and standardized deployment architectures
- Experience in a high-growth or technology-driven company
