As Senior Deployment Project Manager, you will lead the technical design and project management for non-parking launches across Metropolis's Recognition portfolio. You are the primary technical anchor and accountability owner for high-stakes deployments from initial planning through go-live handoff.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, milestones, resource requirements, scheduling, and risk registers for each recognition deployment
- Serve as the technical anchor for the project lifecycle, defining system specifications and ensuring architectural integrity from kickoff through go-live
- Define clear scopes of work for third-party integrators, manage timelines and budgets, and conduct site audits to enforce quality standards
- Act as the primary point of accountability and contact for customers, managing expectations and providing clear context for technical decisions
- Collaborate with the Support organization to coordinate technical execution and ensure a structured handoff of fully deployed environments
- Proactively identify problematic trends in current deployment processes and propose new solutions to reduce administrative overhead for technical teams
- Set quality gating criteria for project milestones and ensure system functionality matches the agreed-upon project scope
- Support regional business development activity and address coverage gaps
You will work with a world-class team of product leaders and engineers building technologies at the intersection of parking, mobility, and real estate. The role requires developing scalable processes and operational strategies to mitigate risks, oversee complex technical architectures, and deliver recognition solutions with consistent quality.
The company's tech stack includes TypeScript, React, Scala, Java, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Snowflake, AWS, Git & GitHub, Datadog, and GitHub Copilot for AI tooling.
Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience in technical project management, specifically leading complex infrastructure or security-related deployments
- Demonstrated experience with large-scale field deployments and operational support for distributed hardware
- Familiarity with enterprise IP video cameras and systems, such as Axis, Avigilon, and Genetec
- Advanced skills in risk mitigation, stakeholder management, budgeting, and sophisticated communication strategies
- Proven ability to resolve a wide range of issues in creative ways and work with a high degree of autonomy
- Comfort with AI tooling
- Ability to translate complex customer requirements into scalable technical designs and standardized deployment architectures
- Experience in a high-growth or technology-driven company
- Familiarity with software-centric computer vision solutions is a plus
