ServiceNow is seeking a Senior Demo Designer to join the Spark Team as an IC3-level independent contributor. This role focuses on translating early-stage product ideas and innovation concepts into compelling, polished design artifacts that drive team alignment, customer understanding, and executive communication.
You will operate with significant autonomy within defined project scopes, taking rough concepts through to presentation-ready deliverables. Your work will span high-fidelity Figma designs, interactive prototypes, storyboards, and visual narratives that communicate complex product experiences simply and persuasively.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering independently on assigned innovation concepts and demo moments, managing ambiguity and iteration cycles
- Demonstrating advanced Figma mastery: component-based design, auto layout, variants, clickable prototypes, and organized file structures
- Translating product strategy and customer needs into clear narratives, demo flows, and visual sequences
- Rapidly iterating from sketches to high-fidelity prototypes, incorporating cross-functional feedback
- Building proof-of-concepts to evaluate emerging AI experiences and future product directions
- Creating and maintaining reusable prototype frameworks, starter kits, and interaction patterns to accelerate team velocity
- Experimenting with new prototyping methods and AI-enabled design workflows
- Communicating design rationale clearly in critiques, working sessions, and leadership reviews
- Collaborating across product, engineering, research, design, and executive storytelling teams to clarify requirements and align on outcomes
- Contributing team practices, templates, and documentation to improve consistency and speed
- Raising the quality bar through strong visual fundamentals, interaction polish, narrative clarity, and attention to detail
ServiceNow's Experience team emphasizes intentional design leadership, close collaboration with engineering and product from the outset, and diverse backgrounds (design systems, product, interaction, content, visual design).
REQUIREMENTS:
Preferred: 5+ years of product design, visual design, interaction design, innovation design, or related digital product experience; proven ability to operate as a strong independent contributor managing ambiguity and feedback; advanced Figma skills (components, auto layout, variants, prototyping, design systems); strong storytelling ability translating customer needs and strategy into narratives and leadership presentations; ability to create high-fidelity concept screens and clickable prototypes; experience with AI-assisted prototyping workflows; experience with code-assisted prototyping tools; familiarity with design systems and component-based architecture; experience creating realistic product simulations for concept validation; strong collaboration and communication skills; strong visual and interaction design fundamentals (layout, hierarchy, typography, flow, interaction patterns, motion-aware thinking); working knowledge of motion, video, animation, 3D, or emerging AI-assisted design workflows is a plus.
Basic: BA, BFA, or equivalent practical experience in Product Design, Visual Design, Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Design Communication, or related field; strong proficiency with Figma and modern digital design workflows with ability to produce polished, well-structured files and prototypes independently.
