GetYourGuide is a global travel marketplace connecting millions of travelers with unique activities across 12,000+ cities. The Central Data Products team builds horizontal data and ML products that power the entire company flywheel: Consumer, Growth, and Supply. As a Senior Data Scientist on this team, you will own end-to-end data science projects from problem definition through production deployment. You'll work on mission-critical systems including location and travel category tagging, landing page eligibility frameworks, destination maps, travel-relevance models for supply acquisition, and Customer Lifetime Value models. Many of these systems leverage LLMs and are already running in production. Key responsibilities: - Develop innovative data products that drive company-level business impact - Take full ownership of projects: analyze large datasets, build robust data pipelines, establish evaluation and monitoring strategies, deploy production code, and optimize post-deployment - Contribute to ML infrastructure development and establish best practices - Collaborate cross-functionally with technology and business teams - Participate in recruiting and team growth initiatives You'll work with a senior, cross-functional team including Data Scientists, MLOps Engineers, and a Product Manager. Success is measured by business impact, not models shipped. Requirements: - 5+ years of experience deploying ML models in production with solid understanding of ML techniques and practical applications - Strong analytics skills: hypothesis testing, proficiency with pandas/polars, SQL/Spark - Experience with LLMs and Agentic AI in production (prompt design, tool use, orchestration like LangChain, RAG, evaluator design, guardrails, tracing/observability) - Software engineering proficiency in Python; knowledge of distributed computing frameworks (e.g., Spark) beneficial - Business acumen and experience in fast-paced environments with result-driven focus - Strong communication skills explaining complex concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders - Advanced degree in a quantitative field or equivalent practical experience
