Salary: USD 145,000 - 190,000 / annual

As a Senior Data Platform Engineer, you will architect and maintain secure, scalable cloud-based data infrastructure using infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform and Helm. You'll design multi-tenant database schemas, develop resilient data pipelines for both real-time streaming and batch processing, and ensure seamless CI/CD deployment practices. Your responsibilities include building comprehensive monitoring and alerting systems to track data health and system performance, proactively identifying and remediating bottlenecks.
You will partner cross-functionally with application teams, DevOps specialists, and Client Delivery professionals to troubleshoot database queries, pipeline logic, and data-related issues. You'll drive data governance initiatives, recommend tools and best practices for data integrity and security, and support MLOps by managing AI model versioning, containerization, and deployment.
The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of data engineering experience with strong Python skills for scripting and automation. You should have proven expertise architecting scalable SQL/NoSQL schemas, optimizing query performance through advanced tuning and execution plan analysis, and hands-on experience with AWS data services (RDS, Aurora, Lambda) or Azure equivalents. Kubernetes and Docker container orchestration knowledge is essential, along with container-level observability and resource allocation. Experience with data orchestration frameworks like Dagster or Apache Airflow is required. You'll demonstrate systems thinking, understanding how data infrastructure integrates into broader application architecture, and follow modern software development practices including Git version control and infrastructure-as-code.
