Mytra is building robotics and distributed software to transform supply chain and material handling—a $1T market. The company is solving the infrastructure challenges of modern e-commerce and logistics by deploying thousands of robotic storage cells across customer sites. As Senior Data Engineer, you will architect and build the data platform that powers Mytra's entire software ecosystem. The scale is significant: each robot and station generates ~2 MB/s of telemetry plus 60 MB video recordings every few minutes (6–8 GB per edge component per hour), across 10,000+ storage cells per site and multiple sites globally. Your responsibilities include: - Designing data capture lanes, storage tiers, and pipeline architecture from the ground up - Redesigning the ingestion service to handle massive scale and durability across cloud and on-premises deployments - Building the transformation engine that converts raw telemetry into queryable tables for products and AI agents - Implementing durable state management and audit trails for every job, fault, and operator action - Creating ID keying and crosswalk systems that join telemetry to site, robot, hardware revision, calibration, and pallet metadata - Owning retention policies, cost optimization, and data egress rules as first-class concerns - Running what you build: CI/CD, monitoring, alerting, and operational excellence for services deployed in customer facilities and cloud You will work with a small, high-ownership team where architectural decisions are made collaboratively and you have significant autonomy. The role requires balancing real-time ingestion, batch processing, and complex data lineage in a hybrid cloud/edge environment with strict data residency and network resilience requirements.
