Salary: USD 125,000 - 142,000 / annual
Spring Health is a global mental health company building an AI-native platform to eliminate barriers to mental health care. The platform delivers personalized support across self-guided tools, coaching, therapy, medication management, and specialty care, reaching over 170 million people worldwide through employers, health plans, and partners.
You will serve as a Senior Data Analyst within the Business Intelligence organization, partnering closely with the Medical Affairs team—which focuses on clinical improvement and provider quality assurance. Reporting to the Associate Director of Analytics, you will be a key cross-functional data partner working with Quality, Product, and the Chief Medical Officer to define KPIs, track outcomes, and conduct exploratory analyses that drive strategic decision-making.
Key responsibilities include:
- Partner with Medical Affairs leadership to define, refine, and evolve key metrics and KPIs as programs scale across new conditions and services
- Build, document, and maintain dashboards and data visualizations in BI tools (Omni, Hex, Tableau) that empower non-technical users to monitor clinical outcomes and provider quality
- Conduct exploratory and ad-hoc analyses to answer emerging business and clinical questions
- Identify trends and gaps in clinical improvement initiatives and recommend data-driven opportunities for improvement
- Support data integrity by contributing to dbt models and ensuring consistent, scalable data structures
- Partner with data, product, and engineering teams to ensure Medical Affairs has access to necessary data sources
- Serve as a data advisor and thought partner for Medical Affairs leadership, proactively shaping how success is measured
- Collaborate with the data science team to dive deeper into major trends and understand drivers of change
- Provide training, documentation, and support to ensure downstream teams can access and utilize data effectively
- Ensure accurate and consistent reporting and documentation of metrics across the business
- Maintain core data models in dbt and ensure data consistency
- Utilize an AI-forward approach, understand key machine learning concepts, and analyze data derived from these technologies
- Lead regular stakeholder meetings to update on work status, bandwidth, and communicate via Jira and Slack
Success in this role means developing tools and analyses that enable your teams to hit their own KPIs, reducing manual data-pulling time, creating dashboards with high monthly active users and views, and contributing to the foundational data model.
A key competency is an exceptional ability to translate technical work into language that clinicians can easily understand. You'll operate within a cross-functional data team including data scientists and analytics engineers. This is a full-time remote position; occasional travel may be required for company or team meetings/events.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 5+ years of working experience with data, data visualization, and dashboarding tools
- Expert-level SQL skills and at least familiarity with dbt or similar data transformation tools
- Experience with Omni, Hex, Tableau, or similar data visualization tools (both creating data models and building dashboards)
- Exceptional communication skills; comfortable explaining technical concepts to non-technical audiences and working independently with executive-level team members
- Strong user empathy; curious and collaborative approach to understanding stakeholder challenges and translating them into data solutions
- Proven ability to proactively manage priorities and dependencies in alignment with cross-functional dependencies and product/business impact
- Passion for navigating ambiguous problem areas and learning new approaches
- Comfortable working in fast-paced environments and navigating changing priorities with multiple stakeholders
- Early adopter of AI and automation tools; actively experiment with LLMs and AI-assisted analytics
