Clair is a fintech company on a mission to give America's workers financial freedom by providing on-demand pay access. Rather than waiting two weeks for a paycheck, workers can access their earnings as soon as they clock out. Clair embeds its products within the scheduling, workforce management, and payroll apps that workers already use daily.
As a Senior Data Analyst, you will be a key member of a growing analytics team, serving as a trusted thought partner to product and business teams. You'll deliver insights that drive user growth, identify trends, and influence strategic decisions across the organization. Your work will directly support Clair's mission to reach millions of hourly workers and help them access their earnings on demand.
You will own the full analytics lifecycle: data ingestion, processing, modeling, and visualization. You'll define and manage key metrics that inform product, growth, and operational decisions. You'll build efficient data pipelines using tools like dbt, develop intuitive dashboards and visualizations that tell compelling stories, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to address analytical questions and evaluate hypotheses. You'll also enable stakeholders across the organization to independently explore and utilize data, and contribute to a culture of analytical rigor by reviewing peer work and brainstorming solutions.
This is a hybrid role based in New York City with an expectation to be in the office at least three days per week (Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays), with additional days as needed for client meetings.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 4–5 years of professional experience in data analytics
- Fluent in SQL (translating business questions to queries, understanding joins and functions, building data pipelines)
- Experience with experimentation and statistical analysis to guide decision-making
- Passion for building the best version of whatever you're working on
PLUS FACTORS (not required):
- Experience with modern data stack tools (Snowflake, dbt, Tableau)
- Scripting language proficiency (Python or R)
- Interest in financial systems and consumer behavior
- Machine learning or statistical modeling experience
- High-growth startup environment experience
