ARX Robotics is seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer to lead product security across the full lifecycle of autonomous ground systems. This is a strategic role where security is embedded from architecture through deployment, requiring deep technical expertise combined with cross-functional influence across software, systems, and cloud engineering teams.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing a comprehensive product security program with standards, requirements, and best practices for engineering teams
- Conducting threat modeling and security risk assessments using STRIDE and ATT&CK methodologies
- Leading security architecture reviews to identify risks early and influence product design decisions
- Building a DevSecOps culture by integrating automated security testing into CI/CD pipelines and promoting secure-by-default principles
- Establishing secure supply chain practices, including third-party component evaluation and software bill of materials management
- Creating and managing vulnerability management processes spanning triage, remediation tracking, and customer disclosures
- Providing security guidance and training to raise the security bar across engineering teams
- Ensuring compliance with IEC 62443, EU Machinery Regulation 2023/1230, prEN 50742, NIST SP 800-82, and the Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) 2024/2847
Required qualifications:
- 7+ years in product security, application security, or secure software development, ideally in complex or regulated environments
- Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
- Strong command of secure development principles: authentication, authorization, encryption, secrets management, secure communications
- Hands-on experience with security architecture reviews, threat modeling, SAST, DAST, SCA, fuzzing, and penetration testing
- Practical experience with cloud-native applications, APIs, containers, and microservices
- Familiarity with defense, embedded, or operational technology security (secure boot, HSMs, firmware integrity, teleoperation systems)
- Strong communication skills for engaging with engineering teams, leadership, customers, and auditors
- Security certifications (CSSLP, CISSP, GWAPT, cloud security) are a plus
