Divergent 3D is seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer to join their SOC operations team in a federal contractor environment. This is a hands-on technical role combining threat analysis with leadership responsibilities across IT and OT (operational technology) domains.
Key responsibilities include:
- Identify and analyze threats across the enterprise using SIEM and detection tools
- Tune SIEM detections and develop correlation searches, Network Intrusion Detection (NIDS) rules, and firewall logic
- Serve as technical escalation point for complex cybersecurity incidents
- Implement STIGs and security baselines across corporate systems, architecture, and applications as directed by leadership
- Conduct post-incident reviews to identify architectural gaps and define security enhancements
- Provide proactive threat research and regularly report on cybersecurity threat intelligence
The role requires hands-on technical expertise in SOC operations, threat analysis, and incident response, with the ability to guide and mentor team members on complex security matters. You will work at the intersection of IT and OT security, supporting Divergent's role as a Tier 1 supplier to automotive OEMs and aerospace/defense companies.
This position is based in Torrance, California and is in-office.
