Serve Robotics is building autonomous sidewalk robots for last-mile delivery in major US cities. The Senior Corporate Strategist is the analytical engine behind enterprise partnerships and core strategic decisions, reporting to the Chief Strategy Officer. In this role, you will own the research, modeling, and strategic materials that make partnership cases credible to counterparties and inform leadership decisions. You'll independently frame open-ended strategic questions, build rigorous analyses, and synthesize messy inputs—public filings, earnings calls, industry reports, expert conversations, operating data, and technical context—into defensible points of view and compelling narratives. Key responsibilities include: - Conduct deep-dive research on target enterprises and markets: business models, cost structures, competitive pressures, partnerships, technology roadmaps, procurement dynamics, and strategy - Build market sizing, pricing, cost-to-serve, unit economics, and scenario models from scratch - Develop strategy decks end-to-end: frame arguments, develop storylines, select evidence, and create charts that persuade senior audiences (three-page proposals through board-level slides to detailed appendices) - Own discrete workstreams on internal strategic questions: market entry and city sequencing, build-versus-buy-versus-partner analysis, competitive positioning, capital allocation tradeoffs - Track the autonomous delivery, last-mile logistics, robotics, and mobility landscape; flag what matters - Evaluate scale, feasibility, and resource requirements of new bets, including revenue potential, partner funding, engineering burden, time to proof, and investment milestones - Manage a portfolio of fast-moving workstreams with the Chief Strategy Officer; coordinate requests from commercial and functional leaders; flag tradeoffs early - Deliver useful first answers quickly, then deepen analysis where additional precision changes decisions The role offers direct exposure to the Chief Strategy Officer on company-shaping questions, a small team with no staffing bureaucracy, and a clear line from analysis to signed commercial agreements. Work is largely self-managed with shifting priorities and periods of intensity around live pitches, negotiations, board decisions, and new opportunities. Light travel (~10%) for company gatherings and conferences. Within 12 months, success means leadership consistently enters priority meetings with clear, evidence-backed positions; models materially improve pricing, funding, and deal choices; proposals carry compelling, defensible stories; follow-ups and decisions stay organized; and your independent recommendations influence which opportunities Serve pursues, funds, scales, hands off, or stops. REQUIREMENTS: Required: - 3 to 8 years of experience with meaningful stretch in management consulting, corporate strategy, or similar - Strong research instincts: ability to move from no knowledge of a company to defensible thesis within ~one week - Advanced Excel modeling: build models from scratch and defend every assumption (beyond maintaining/formatting) - Slide craft: build decks that C-suite audiences can follow without narration - Clear writing: construct and defend arguments in prose - Judgment to manage competing priorities across two senior stakeholders and escalate early when they collide - Comfort with ambiguity and having conclusions challenged, then reworking them - Independent thinker - Comfort with big open-ended questions (e.g., "Which of 10 product features do we prioritize first?" or "Should we enter this European market?") Preferred: - MBA or equivalent analytical training - Startup, logistics, last-mile delivery, marketplace, mobility, or robotics exposure - Experience supporting senior executives on high-stakes partner meetings and commercial negotiations at high-growth companies - Previous consulting, banking, or analytically rigorous strategy function
