Salary: USD 213,000 - 312,000 / annual
Datadog is seeking a Senior Corporate Development Lead to drive AI product strategy and build relationships across the founder and VC ecosystem. You will report directly to the Founder/CEO and support high-impact initiatives including acquisitions, venture investments, and startup partnerships.
Key responsibilities include: analyzing emerging AI technologies and market opportunities to inform Datadog's product strategy; sourcing high-potential AI startups for acquisition, investment, or partnership; building presence across the founder and VC ecosystem through conferences and events; driving diligence, valuation, financial modeling, and strategic assessment workstreams; partnering with Product and Engineering leaders to evaluate build/buy/partner opportunities; supporting negotiation processes including term sheets and partnership structures; collaborating on integration planning post-acquisition; and attracting early-stage AI companies into Datadog's startup program.
You should have demonstrated technical knowledge through software engineering, product management, VC experience, or a Computer Science degree. Some experience with financial modeling, forecasting, or analysis is expected (training provided). You are excited about building networks across founders, VCs, and the AI ecosystem, thrive in fast-paced and ambiguous environments, excel at prioritization across multiple stakeholders, and have strong communication and negotiation skills.
