Instacart is seeking a Senior Contracts Procurement Manager to lead the company's contract management function and forge strategic supplier partnerships. Reporting to the Head of Procurement, this role is responsible for driving business-term negotiations, ensuring seamless collaboration with Legal and Third Party Risk Management (TPRM), and delivering measurable value through risk-adjusted, cost-optimized agreements.
In your first year, you will establish and enforce procurement contract policies, playbooks, and templates in coordination with Legal, TPRM, and Finance, maintaining clean documentation to support SOX and internal audit compliance. You will track and report KPIs including contract cycle time and compliance rates, presenting routine performance updates to stakeholders.
You will personally lead strategic, high-value, and high-complexity contracts through the full procurement lifecycle, securing optimal outcomes across SLAs, scope, exit clauses, payment terms, and auto-renewals. You will gather business requirements from internal stakeholders and translate them into enforceable contract language while preserving supplier relationships.
Cross-functional partnership is central to the role. You will develop criteria with Legal for contracts that can be executed without Legal engagement, reducing redline cycles by 50% through pre-approved clause libraries. You will develop and maintain fallback positions in collaboration with Legal, escalating redlines outside approved positions for Legal review.
Instacart is a Flex First company, offering flexibility to work from home, an office, or your favorite location while staying connected through regular in-person events. The role is eligible for new hire equity grants and annual refresh grants.
