Lingo.dev is a localization engineering platform (Y Combinator-backed, venture-funded) that helps teams measure translation quality, translate with LLMs, and proofread with native speakers. You own the full content production and distribution pipeline: writing, publishing, measuring, and automating. You decide what gets written each day and how it reaches readers. Your scope includes blog posts, research articles backed by original engineering discoveries, essays, changelogs, product update emails, newsletters, LinkedIn, dev.to, Hacker News, Reddit, Google Ads, and SEO. You write for both technical and non-technical audiences, interview founders and customers, and contribute to the company's narrative and positioning. You publish weekly and scale by automating: Claude workflows, templated distribution, scheduled publishing. You own both organic and paid channels—SEO, GEO, AI visibility—and track performance in Ahrefs, Search Console, and ad accounts. You measure what gets cited, what ranks, what compounds, and what spend returns. The role is small-team, direct-to-founders, with occasional in-person travel, conference and learning budget, and flexible hours. REQUIREMENTS: - Write in plain words, cut superlatives, every sentence must carry intention - Published content with real traction: newsletter with subscribers, front-page posts, technical content developers shared (portfolio required) - Code enough to automate your own workflow: scripting, AI-assisted development, distribution pipelines on schedule - Interview skills: extract real opinions on record, turn into stories aligned with company positioning - Write for engineers (technical, specific, mechanism-first) and non-technical readers with equal precision - Claude/similar is your daily production method; you have opinions on prompting, output quality, when to override - Understand what Hacker News rewards, LinkedIn's algorithm favors, how to get pieces cited by AI systems - Work SEO from data: Ahrefs/Semrush and Search Console open daily, pull rankings, backlinks, AI citations yourself - Care about outcomes: signups, citations, rankings, backlinks; report on them OPTIONAL: - Marketing to skeptical audiences - Research or essays that shifted how a field thinks about a problem - YouTube video production or AI video tools (Higgsfield, Hyperframes) DO NOT APPLY IF: - Claude/Claude Cowork/Claude Code is not in your daily work - Your strategy is keyword spreadsheets and publishing calendars - Your work ends at publish; someone else distributes and measures - You've used AI a handful of times or never, and plan to keep it that way - You need a brief each week to know what to write - You call yourself "not technical" - Your portfolio is generic across companies - You want to manage a team in year one - You're applying for the accelerator name or funding round
