Anduril Industries is seeking a Senior Computer Vision Engineer to join the Maneuver Dominance team in Costa Mesa, California. This role focuses on developing advanced perception systems for autonomous aerial platforms, with emphasis on multi-asset autonomy and complex unmanned aerial vehicles.
You will work at the intersection of 3D perception and computer vision, developing robust algorithms that power real-time decision-making for autonomous systems. Key responsibilities include:
• Develop and implement advanced structure-from-motion and SLAM algorithms to create accurate 3D models from multiple camera inputs in real-time
• Design and integrate perception outputs with path planning algorithms to enable autonomous navigation in complex, unstructured environments
• Collaborate with robotics, software, and hardware teams to integrate perception algorithms into autonomous aerial systems
• Design experiments, data collection efforts, and curate training/evaluation datasets for internal and customer purposes
• Work with vendors and government stakeholders to advance perception and world modeling capabilities
Required qualifications include a BS in Robotics, Computer Science, or related field; strong knowledge of 3D computer vision concepts (multi-view geometry, camera models, photogrammetry, 3D reconstruction); fluency in standard libraries (numpy, opencv, pytorch); 6+ years of professional experience with C++ or Rust; and proven experience deploying software to end customers. You must be willing to travel 25% and be eligible to obtain a U.S. Secret security clearance.
