Anduril Industries is a defense technology company transforming U.S. and allied military capabilities through advanced technology. The company's Lattice OS is an AI-powered operating system that integrates thousands of data streams into a real-time, 3D command and control center. The Frontier AI team builds edge-compatible, generative AI systems into the Lattice platform to improve autonomy and reduce cognitive burden on warfighters. Applications include automating mission planning, battle-space understanding, voice-control of assets, and enabling higher levels of autonomy. As a Senior Computer Vision Engineer, you will design, train, and deploy computer vision and perception models for edge-compatible, mission-critical environments. You'll build multi-sensor perception systems that fuse imagery, video, and other sensor data into coherent views of the battlefield. Your work will improve the fidelity, accuracy, and robustness of Lattice's understanding of objects, activities, and environments across varied operational conditions. Key responsibilities include integrating state-of-the-art machine learning algorithms into production systems used by customers in real-world scenarios, developing mission-relevant evaluation frameworks and datasets to measure perception performance in the field, and partnering closely with software, autonomy, product, and deployment teams to turn research ideas into operational capabilities. You'll also identify new perception and battlefield-understanding problems where advances in computer vision can unlock major product impact. Required qualifications include a BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, Machine Learning, or related field; 5+ years developing computer vision, perception, or machine learning systems in production or advanced research; strong experience with deep learning, object detection, and tracking frameworks; strong Python programming skills; experience training and iterating on vision models for detection, tracking, segmentation, classification, or sensor fusion; experience deploying or optimizing ML systems for constrained, real-time, or edge compute environments; and ability to work across the full ML lifecycle from problem formulation through deployment and monitoring. U.S. Secret security clearance eligibility required. Preferred qualifications include an advanced degree in computer vision, perception, robotics, or machine learning; experience with multi-modal or multi-sensor fusion systems; experience deploying deep learning to embedded or air-gapped environments; familiarity with real-time perception for autonomous platforms or safety-critical systems; experience building large-scale datasets and labeling pipelines; experience in startup or defense technology environments; and prior experience with geospatial, ISR, EO/IR, radar, or other battlefield-relevant sensing modalities.
