Charles IT seeks a Senior Compliance Administrator to manage compliance assessments, develop and maintain policies, and ensure organizational adherence to regulatory frameworks. This role serves as a central point of contact for clients, internal teams, and external auditors, working under the guidance of the Managed Compliance Supervisor. Key responsibilities include writing and reviewing policies to meet regulatory requirements; conducting policy assessments to identify gaps and implement updates; facilitating policy reviews with clients and stakeholders; creating and maintaining standard operating procedures; setting up and managing clients within GRC platforms; performing internal and third-party risk assessments; creating and tracking compliance tasks; conducting framework assessments across CCPA, CMMC, FINRA, HIPAA, NIST CSF 2.0, NYDFS, SOC 2, and similar standards; identifying compliance gaps and driving remediation efforts; managing audit preparation including evidence collection; coordinating with external auditors and responding to follow-up requests and due diligence questionnaires; managing projects to ensure timely completion of tasks and deliverables; communicating progress through GRC platforms; designing and facilitating tabletop exercises; building and maintaining client relationships; providing ongoing guidance on compliance requirements and best practices; and mentoring junior team members. Required qualifications include a bachelor's degree in IT, Compliance, Security, or related field (or equivalent experience); 5+ years of experience in compliance, auditing, or IT/security; experience with GRC platforms, policy management, and audit processes; strong knowledge of frameworks such as SOC 2, NIST, HIPAA, CMMC, and NYDFS; ability to communicate effectively with both technical teams and executive stakeholders; strong organizational and multitasking skills; self-starter mentality with ability to work independently; and a valid U.S. driver's license with ability to pass a background check. Relevant certifications such as CISA, CIPP, or CCP are preferred.
