CesiumAstro is seeking a Senior Communication Systems Engineer to join its team in El Segundo, CA. The company develops advanced communication systems for satellites, UAVs, launch vehicles, and other space and airborne platforms, with a focus on phased array technology.
In this role, you will serve as a technical point of contact for communication programs and take on significant system engineering responsibilities. Your core responsibilities include developing space architecture concepts, designing sub-systems and payloads, developing and decomposing requirements, creating high-level software and hardware system architectures, developing concepts of operations (CONOPS), and conducting risk assessments.
You will coordinate activities across multidisciplinary engineering teams, escalate program-level issues, and drive complex aerospace programs to successful completion. This is a hands-on position in a dynamic startup environment where you will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge phased array systems for space and aerospace applications.
The ideal candidate brings a strong background in systems engineering, proven experience in space technology, and the ability to manage technical complexity across multiple engineering disciplines. You should be comfortable working in a collaborative, cross-functional environment and have the drive to solve challenging technical problems in the aerospace domain.
