CesiumAstro is seeking a Senior Communication Systems Engineer to join its team developing advanced communication systems for satellites, UAVs, launch vehicles, and other space and airborne platforms. This is a hands-on role in a dynamic startup environment focused on phased array technology for aerospace applications.
In this position, you will serve as a technical point of contact for communication programs and lead cross-functional engineering efforts. Key responsibilities include developing space architecture concepts, designing subsystems and payloads, establishing requirements and performing decomposition analysis, architecting high-level software and hardware systems, developing concepts of operations (CONOPS), and conducting risk assessments. You will coordinate activities across multidisciplinary engineering teams, escalate program-level issues, and drive complex programs to successful completion.
The ideal candidate brings a strong background in systems engineering with demonstrated experience in space technology. You should be comfortable working autonomously while collaborating effectively across teams, and possess the technical depth to guide payload and communication system design decisions.
