Ontic is seeking a Senior Cloud Security Engineer to lead the maturation of its AWS cloud security program. This is an individual contributor role focused on designing, implementing, and automating security controls across AWS infrastructure to support continuous compliance, FedRAMP readiness, and secure cloud operations.
Key responsibilities include designing and implementing cloud security controls; building security automation using infrastructure as code, APIs, and scripting; leading cloud security posture management initiatives; integrating security into CI/CD pipelines and engineering workflows; developing continuous evidence collection systems supporting FedRAMP and other compliance frameworks; partnering with engineering teams on secure architecture and cloud best practices; improving cloud monitoring, detection, and security metrics; and supporting customer security requirements including SOC 2, ISO 27001, and FedRAMP compliance.
Success will be measured by automated, repeatable, and auditable cloud security controls; reduced manual audit effort through continuous evidence collection; security embedded into engineering workflows; measurable improvements to AWS security posture; and positioning Ontic toward modern FedRAMP continuous authorization practices.
Required qualifications include AWS cloud security expertise. Preferred qualifications include direct FedRAMP Moderate or High experience, knowledge of FedRAMP CR-26 and/or 20x standards, AWS Bedrock experience, infrastructure as code proficiency (Terraform preferred), security automation and scripting skills, CI/CD security integration experience, cloud detection and monitoring expertise, and experience supporting regulated SaaS environments and cloud compliance initiatives.
