The Security team at Iterable leads a cross-functional effort to ensure all systems remain secure and provide assurance to customers that their sensitive data is safeguarded. As a Senior Cloud Security Engineer, you will be a hands-on technical contributor who drives security improvements across the entire development lifecycle through automation, assessments, technical reviews, and vulnerability evaluation.
Key responsibilities include:
- Review system designs and implementations, consulting with engineers across the organization to identify and prevent security issues; document and ensure remediation of identified vulnerabilities
- Leverage expertise in systems and infrastructure to propose solutions and drive architectural improvements addressing classes of security vulnerabilities
- Develop and implement cloud and infrastructure security architecture; contribute to strategy and roadmap planning
- Select, design, develop, implement, and manage automated security testing tools (cloud security posture management, image vulnerability scanners)
- Implement solutions that integrate into CI pipelines to shift security left and raise concerns early to engineering teams
- Promote DevSecOps principles; implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) scanning and policy enforcement for Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, and similar tools
- Coordinate and participate in penetration tests of cloud services
Required qualifications:
- 5+ years hands-on experience in Cloud Security, SRE, DevOps, DevSecOps, or Infrastructure Engineering
- Strong working knowledge of Kubernetes and ecosystem tools (Helm, ArgoCD)
- Production experience with AWS services: Organizations, Identity/SSO, IAM, Service Control Policies, VPCs, Elastic Load Balancers, CloudTrail, Security Groups
- Proficiency with Terraform
- Experience developing custom actions or workflows in GitHub or GitLab
- Solid understanding of security best practices and compliance frameworks
